Greetings! I’m Kyle E.R. Barbee, a character designer + prop designer + illustrator who currently resides in Mission Viejo, CA. I have a serious passion for all things animation and my dream is to create animated shows. I am still striving to land a position at a major studio, but I am always sharpening my skills and looking for new opportunities that allow me to follow my passion. My creative tools of choice are red & blue pencil, pen, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
I graduated from California State University Fullerton with a B.F.A degree in Animation and a minor in Radio/TV/Film with a focus on screenwriting. You could always find me either roaming the art department or working in the labs on my next big project. During that time, I worked on a number of animations, learned how to sculpt characters, and developed a pitch for an original series. Shortly after graduation, I opened my own Etsy Shop and worked a number of odd jobs, but I eventually landed a job as a Graphic Designer for a company called Signs By Tomorrow.

Sculpting. Reading. Watching films, especially foreign and monster films. Spending time with my wife and fellow creatives. Binge-watching the newest animated series on Netflix. Cooking and trying new culinary ideas (Never mix turkey sausage with Mac N’ Cheese). All things Animation. Monsters, I love watching them, reading about them, and drawing them. Corgis, nature’s punchlines.
